I´m sorry
to say, that it is not a rumour but a fact. The match has been cancelled from
the International Match Calendar due to those two clowns named Ede Horvath and
Ferenc Kovacs! This is the third Level III Match within 14 months which has
been cancelled by both of them. The reason for this is a tremendous jealousy of
those two who – as it seems – take the right to be the only people to organise
a Level III Match in Hungary.
The reason
for the cancelation is (unbelivable as it sounds): Mischi Mag organised a Three
Gun Match in January 2003 and used the MSS programme for scoring (a programme
which can be downloaded for free, even by non-IPSC members). Due to the use of
the programme (a fact which Mag declines) the Match has been cancelled by those
two gentlemen.
A fact
which confuses not only me but all other austrian shooters and the IPSC Austria
is that IPSC Intern. plays along. We of the IPSC Austria planned to use this
match as a qualification for the European Championship 2004 and now we have to
find another match.
We will not
take part in any IPSC Match in Hungary as we don´t know if it takes place. As
it seems that Level III Matches can only be organised by Mr. Kovacs and Mr.
Horvath, we are no longer interested in handing them over our money (whose
behavior is more than questionable when seen from the view of sportivity).
Good News
at the end: The Match takes place in every case. But not as IPSC Level III but
as an international Freindship-Shooting (which is from my point of view more
than understandable as up to now more than 5 mio. Forint have been invested).
Stages are as planned, plus two Stages Rifle and two Stages Shotgun (don´t
count for scores). The Entry fee has been reduced to € 40,-. Attached I send
you the official letter by Mag ICS.
I would be
very glad if you were prepared to come under these circumstances.

Gerücht sondern eine Tatsache: Das Match wurde auf Betreiben der beiden Komiker
namens Ede Horvath und Ferenc Kovacs vom Intern. Matchkalender gestrichen! Das
ist bereits das dritte Level III Match innerhalb von 14 Monaten das die beiden
gestrichen haben. Grund dafür ist ein nicht unerheblicher Neidfaktor der beiden
oben genannten die anscheinend das Recht für sich in Anspruch nehmen, die einzigen
zu sein, die in Ungarn ein Level III Match veranstalten zu dürfen.
Grund für die Streichung
des Mag ICS Matches ist folgender (so unwahrscheinlich es auch klingen mag):
Mischi Mag hat im Jänner 2003 ein Three Gun Match veranstaltet und zur Auswertung
das MSS Programm verwendet (das sich jeder, auch wenn er kein IPSC Mitglied
ist, kostenlos im Internet herunterladen kann!). Anhand der Tatsache für die
Verwendung dieses Programmes (was Mag allerdings bestreitet) wurde im seitens
der beiden Herren das Match gestrichen.
Was mir im besonderen,
und im weiteren auch allen anderen Österr. Schützen und der IPSC Austria,
negativ dabei auffällt, ist das bereitwillige Mitspielen der IPSC Intern.
dabei. Wir von der IPSC Austria haben dieses Match als Ausscheidungsbewerb für
die Europameisterschaft 2004 eingeplant und müßen nun einen Ersatzbewerb dafür
finden.
Wir werden bis auf
weiteres kein IPSC Match in Ungarn mehr besuchen, da es ungewiss ist, ob es
stattfindet. Da Level III Matches in Zukunft anscheinend nur von den Herren
Kovacs und Horvath durchgeführt werden, haben wir kein Interesse daran, diesen
beiden unser Geld zu überlassen (von der sportlichen Seite ist derer vorgehen
sowieso mehr als fraglich).
Die erfreuliche
Nachricht zum Schluß: Das Match findet auf jeden Fall statt! Leider nicht als
IPSC Level III sondern als Internationales Freundschaftsschießen! (Ist aus
meiner Sicht mehr als verständlich da bisher mehr als 5 Millionen Forint
investiert wurden!). Stages wie bisher plus zwei Stages Rifle und zwei Stages
Flinte (zählen nicht zur Wertung). Das Startgeld wurde auf € 40,- reduziert.
